The "Bodinière" Pond

Clessé's pond is one of the most beautiful for miles around. Its area surface is 5 hectares. You need to walk 1 km to go around the pond.

This footpath is trimmed with a health path. There are also games for children, petanque areas, picnic tables.

In case of bad weather, there are shelters.

NB: swimming in the pond is forbidden

Our Mills

Mills are very present in Clessé's landscape. Most of these are accessible to visitors.

The preservation of this heritage is very important for the village. Then, you can see, during walks, former washeries, a particularly old bridge (from gallo roman era) or very old mills.

Well, a good walk in the past...

The Green Track

we call "voie verte", the former place of the railroad tracks, which in those days linked Parthenay to Bressuire. Now, this path has been restored for walkers and cyclists.

The "voie verte" has been opened in July 2005 and is 30 km long.

St Amboise Chapel

In Boismé, just near Clessé, a little chapel is in the middle of a field. This is Amboise Chapel, which has a bell from 1792. Legend says that a beef lived at that place and that he had nothing to eat, but he was still growing up.

Near the Chapel, there is a fountain, whose water is said to have good effects on health.

The Community Day

In Clessé, the village party is each year on the second weekend of July. During this day, a car rally is organized, a meal at the pond for the arrival, and a big dinner at the stadium at night.

Then fireworks to close this wonderful party.

This is a good occasion to party, but also to meet people.

The Promontory of laubreçais

From the promontory, it is possible to see the whole quarry of Laubreçais.

The sight is unique and very impressive.

The place is opened to anybody. This is near Laubreçais at the entrance of the quarry.
